PTA Dine Out Wednesday, February 8th Enjoy a meal at Togos ~ Baskin Robbins in the Ralphs Shopping Center. Place receipts in the Monte Vista boxes at the register, and our school will earn a profit. Teachers will be scooping ice cream, and there will be a contest for the classes that have the most participation. Participation will be counted by the number of items a family orders from Baskin Robbins, whatever your family orders will be evenly credited to all your children's classrooms. The top K-3 class and top 4-6 class will win a field trip to Togos including free lunch for the whole class.

Book Swap Tuesday, February 21st An opportunity to contribute gently used children's books that other students can enjoy. Students can drop off books during the week of February 14-17, and receive up to 10 tickets to be used at the Book Swap. Parent Volunteers are needed to help this run smoothly. We need 1-2 volunteers at 8:00-8:20 a.m. on February 14-17 to receive books and group them. On Tuesday, February 21st we need several volunteers to lay out the books in the morning and help students choose books throughout the day.
Foundation Meeting Monday, February 27th @ 7:00 p.m., auditorium We encourage parents, and staff members to attend our monthly meetings. Important topics are discussed, and we welcome your input. Grant requests scheduled for voting include: Abraham Lincoln presentation (cost $150), Ulysses Books for 6th graders (cost $240), Recorder Music program for 3rd graders (cost $700). General discussions include: financial report, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, etc. We hope to see you there.
